I love Lock Haven University. I have the best time whenever I'm up there. It is a beautiful little town to go explore the mountains. There are many different things to do throughout the town also.

My experience at Commonwealth University has changed my outlook on college completely. I'm in the process of transferring because I had such a miserable experience there. I don't recommend anyone attend this university, unless they enjoy negative energy all day, every day. It feels like I took a step back into high school all over again.

I mostly enjoyed my experience. I am coming back to earn my masters, but am excited to do it fully online and not be on campus. Most professors were great, but we lacked diversity in the classroom and on campus. I believe that if i did not play a sport, my experience would not have been as enjoyable.

I have had some issues while at Lock Haven regarding being told to take classes I never had to take along with my financial aid being taken away with only 2 weeks notice before the next semester started.

My experience so far at Lock Haven University has been good. Most professors are nice and care about the students' well-being. There are many classes, especially for such a small school. Classes are all within walking distance. This school is very good for anyone from a low-income family, as tuition isn't outrageous. The only thing I would possibly like to see changed is meal options at the dining hall, their isn't a huge variety.

A nice small University with great mountain views. Almost every weekend there is something to do. The campus is like our own little community, and everyone cares for each other no matter what. For being a small University we show good school spirit. I like the fact that the teachers know us by name. Most classes I have no more then twenty kids in my classes. I'm part of the wrestling team and it's more of a brotherhood.

The best college you can go to for graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Top quality education and professors who care about making you an amazing clinician, not just getting you to pass classes. Best program in the nation in my opinion and I would not want to go anywhere else. If you want a CACREP accredited program for CMHC, this is the best option you could choose and the best quality. The entire department including advising, internship coordinators, and professors is all fantastic, so all the reviews about the undergraduate studies do not apply to the graduate programs because this one is amazing.

I am enjoying Lock Haven. As a 3+2 Physician Assistant student, I am excited by the idea of not having to search for graduate programs, so long as I keep my grades up. My professors are all really kind and willing to help, you just have to go ask. The food is fine, and I don't have to fight to eat healthy- as long as you're willing to, they have options. My dorm is also very nice, and I enjoy being on campus.

My experience is good, but not great. I like the food court, but that was about it. I disliked the professors and the amount of busy work they assign.

I would like a little more clarity with the courses. Coming into Lock Haven was a little confusing as it was hard to get in touch with my advisor and even then I ended up taking some courses that were not needed and not taking some that were. I think some advisors are a little unfamiliar with their advisees and you have to be extremely diligent. Each department only know things about their department, so when advising tells a student to do this, you have to double check with registration, financial aid, ect before you even can. You can not even go with the suggestions of your advisor. I think my experience was good because my advisor has my career goals in mind but without any type of knowledge of the other departments it is costing 4x as much for me to get their and has and is taking twice as long.

Lock Haven has integrated with 2 other universities. It is very unfavored by the staff and student body. The new website messed up everything with finding courses and financial information. The campus is beautiful but the community here is awful. It is every person for themselves. If anyone comes here, make sure you have a definite support system here. If you don't, you will struggle in all areas.

I very much enjoy the scenery of LHU, I personally enjoy fishing and there are so many nearby areas within a 30-minute drive to catch anything from trout and panfish, to bass, with several areas to get bait, next to LHU is a river and a dike which holds a running path too. As far as academics, I very much enjoy how small the classes are, I truly feel there is far more opportunity for one on one with students compared to bigger colleges, I have had the opportunity to go to every single professor's office hours, and I have never felt written off by professor or made to feel unintelligent, In my personal experience, Every professor I had has been willing to work with me to learn a topic, even outside of the scheduled classroom hours. I currently serve in the military and at times have had to leave for service and every professor has worked with me in some way or another for not being present in the classroom. I truly feel the campus tries to make activities for the students here at LHU.

I like how many activities there are!! I think they should change and maybe add more groups like a different way to make friends because I am still having a problem with that part.

Nice people, decent food, decent internet connection, but integration has made a mess of things. It's a fairly small campus and all the buildings are along the same street, except for east campus which is a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk away or a two-minute ride away if you take the trolley.

Lock Haven has been wonderful to me. My academic advisor has always been there for me to guide and encourage me and without their belief in me and the support of faculty, I wouldn’t be the man I am today. I feel they have truly prepared me to step into the real world, prepared and ready to shape the students of tomorrow.

Small, tight knit feel. The professors really take the time to know you. Also a great inexpensive choice for an undergrad degree.
