As a foreign designer in the United States, I appreciate how chrome represents the classic American culture. In the 20th century, it was widely used on the exterior of cars and buildings to express speed, technology, and the imagination of the future world. The keyword "chrome" made me think of Google Chrome. I looked up the meaning of its name, which happens to be "because it's associated with fast cars and speed," which perfectly aligns with its functionality.

Exactly what I have been saying for the past decade! I agree with all the points except one; Architects not getting paid more... we have already commoditized architecture to it's bare bones and we need to calculate how much work it takes and how much time across each office, including cost of living, and charge to a sustainable (not for profit) business model to stabilize the profession. We need to focus on the data we are providing in our services, standardize it to construction use and FM, establish Roles of BIM directors, BIM model Managers and BIM modelers as part of career paths and ESG, and upskill through mentorships on that path and broad based training. And automation requires a lot of money to external sources or a talented team 😁 in house with the support and skills to provide for an entire organization... which is tax deductible btw.Justin Ehart Jinger Tapia Ken Wink and Jay Todisco, AIA, LEED AP!
