The LONGEST and SHORTEST Ride Wait Times in Disney World (2024)

Disney World — it’s a magical place full of chaos.

There are a LOT of things that go into planning your Disney World trip. You’ve got to consider the ticket changes and price increases, the changes with Genie+, what food to eat, what reservations to make, and much more. But you’ve also got to think about wait times. How long will you have to spend waiting for your favorite Disney World rides this time of year? We’ve got ALL the data you need (and even some charts!) right here.

Big Takeaways

Before we get into allllll the wait times data from this past week, we want to give you an overview of what we’re seeing. All in all, the highest average wait time for this past week was 102 minutes for Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom. That was followed by 98 minutes at the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and 92 minutes at Rise of the Resistance.

This, unfortunately, marks (at least in part) an INCREASE from the average wait times we saw last week. Previously, the average wait for Flight of Passage was 85 minutes, while Tower of Terror was at 95 minutes and Rise of the Resistance was at 81 minutes.

We are inching toward Christmas and New Year’s Eve, so a slight increase in wait times is not all that surprising. What can you do about long wait times during the holiday season?

Well, timing your visit is important. If you can take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry (available to all Disney hotel guests) or Extended Evening Hours (available to Deluxe Resort hotel and Deluxe Villas guests) you can be in the park when there are fewer people around, giving you the chance to potentially enjoy shorter lines.

You can also consider utilizing Genie+ to skip some of those longer standby waits.Check out our tips for using Genie+ on Disney’s busiest days.

Finally, be on the lookout for our daily wait times posts. These show an hour-by-hour breakdown of wait times for each ride. That can help you see what time of day a ride may be more likely to be emptier.

Alright, let’s get to those average wait times for this past week and show you just what it was like at each park!
